VALENTINE'S DAY FOR SINGLES and COUPLES

HELLO GUYS! Today on the blog I wanted to talk a little about giving love, receiving love and love in general. Valentine's day isn't just about chocolates and flowers. It's about the little things you may do for a person, could be a friend, a family member, a coworker. A small gesture of love and kindness is more likely to have an impact on someone's life than materialistic objects (though they are instantly gratifying) they lack a lasting impact. I think everyone, and the world could use a little bit of compassion and love especially right now. So if you're feeling low next Tuesday because you don't have a "valentine" don't be! One thing to keep in mind is time fixes everything. In the meantime, you can spend with others who love you unconditionally.
+ Visit your parents and take them out to eat, after all there's no one else that would love you so unconditionally no matter what stage and age of life you're at.
+ Donate to a charity of your choice or volunteer at a place of your choice, whether hospital, soup kitchen, you will truly feel the love with this selfless act.
+ Call all your single ladies, your girlfriends, and maybe have a dinner and catch up, because hey, who doesn't love a good healthy gossip?
+ Treat yourself! Spend the night with yourself with a spa night, a facial, or simple reading a book or writing your thoughts in a dairy. (Check out my blog post on how to have an affordable spa night at home here).
+ If all else fails, you can never go wrong with some Netflix and Chinese take out!
If you're going to be celebrating this day with your special beau, as a COUPLE then there's a lot to as well:
+ Go catch a local concert at a bar followed by dinner at your favorite restaurant (reservations)
+ You can make it sporty and go to a arcade/ indoor go karting which is always a great idea followed by some street side food, or take out
+ Movies and dinner are always a classic. Fifty Shades Darker?
+ You can also take a spontaneous day trip to nearby city or town and explore what that city has to offer.
+ Watch the stars/planets from your local observatory or science museum.
+ Personally, I will be celebrating valentine's day with some dinner at an upscale restaurant ( I have to make use of this dress somehow haha), its probably going to be at Bristol in Four Seasons Boston, followed by a movie (maybe?). Usually, we always find something to do in the city/downtown area.
Let's talk about this feminine and chic midi DRESS which is under $30, and is perfect for the cold. It's got long sleeves and a midi length to keep you warm. I think the color is perfect for this occasion and for the upcoming spring season. You can re-wear this dress for a night out or a party, unlike most red dresses. I paired this look with INC pink nude heels and a classic bag to complete the look. Catch all the details at the end of this post xo.
