RELAXING GETAWAY AT THE BLUE INN ON THE BEACH
Hello loves! Recently the beau and I wanted to getaway from our daily routine for a relaxing and low key getaway. So we decided to check out Plum Island which is known for its laid back and relaxed lifestyle. Its a small island located in the North Shore of MA. I have heard great things about Lark hotels and the closest one near Boston was Plum Island, so we decided to give it a try. The minute we walked into the blue themed hotel, we were welcomed so gracefully.
Our room had a spacious King size bed with Ocean view, and fireplace (super cozy). We were greeted with complimentary sea salt cookies which were eaten in less than 10 minutes because they were so delicious. I was so pleased with numerous utilities and amenities present in our room. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wine glasses, mini sink, bathrobes, apple tv, beach towels, and Jetted bath tub. The king size ocean view room had a balcony with chairs for some sun bathing with a stunning view. I highly recommend getting a ocean view, its worth couple extra bucks.
The first day were there we decided to start by relaxing in the bath tub, and then heading out to downtown for few bites. We had dinner at Sunset bar, which is 2 minute drive from the hotel. Everyone from the host to the waitress were all so warm and welcoming. The food is delicious, they did have a vegetarian menu option for me, however the portions are small if you like to eat.
After dinner, we caught up on some shows and movies on netflix using our in-room smart TV. The ocean room is definitely worth it, we had the balcony door slightly opened and there's nothing more calming than the sound of water waves. The Blue inn also has an outdoor jacuzzi which we didn't get a chance to use. It over looks the ocean, and I can imagine how relaxed that feeling can be.
The best part about the blue inn was the breakfast. Next morning a basket of breakfast was left outside our room. The breakfast had everything from Coffee, juice, muffin, baked eggs with spinach, fresh grapefruit, yogurt with mixed oats and lemon bread. We had some warmer temps the following day so we enjoyed breakfast on the porch overlooking the ocean.
The hospitality at this lark hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The hotel also has cottages for rent for groups. You can find all the details about rooms and rates here
Our stay was so quick and I wish it could've lasted longer, but I can't wait to be back in the summer, and moreover checkout all the other lark hotel properties across New England. This was my first time staying at an Inn and I cannot recommend this hotel enough, our overall experience exceeded our expectations. I think this relaxed getaway at Blue Inn was definitely needed to reenergize and appreciate the little things and most importantly spend quality time with people that mean the most to us.
until next time,
