7 THINGS TO DO DURING STAY AT HOME QUARANTINE

The world is facing a very tough time right now and it is important to keep our sanity and spirit high. While many of the first responders, nurses and doctors are working tirelessly to provide us the best care they can, the best thing we can do in return is to STAY HOME. With that comes the ultimate challenge while being in quarantine at home: what to do? Yes, there is always social media, Netflix and memes to keep us busy but I wanted to share few things you can do at home to feel good about yourself and be productive. So here we go:

1. ME TIME WITH AT HOME SPA

This is one of my favorite things to do when I have time at home, and doesn't require much effort. All you need is a good exfoliator, face mask and a bath bomb. I start by exfoliating my face with Clarins exfoliant, and rinse. I then apply a face mask based on how my skin is feeling, typically in winter, I use a hydrating face mask or sheet mask.

For ambience, I light few scented candles, add rose petals (if you have) and bath bomb to the bath and just relax. I like to listen to meditation music or read depending on my mood.

2. READ YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS

I think this is a perfect time to pick up books in a skill you want to develop, or a hobby you want to pursue. Lately, I have been interested in self motivating books that promote financial freedom. Here are my favorites:

3. LEARN A NEW RECIPE

Apart from meal prepping my usual recipes, this is a great time to try out a new recipe, I have always been fond of baking, so I made my very first strawberry cheesecake -which was actually delicious!

4. CLEAN/ORGANIZE

Cleaning my closet something I have put off for SOO many weekends now. This is the perfect opportunity to revamp my closet and vanity space. I used some time to throw away my old makeup, and organize my vanity, I also want to take this time to re decorate my room and add few esthetics. It can even be as simple as changing the color of your sheets/blanket.

5. LEARN A NEW SKILL

There are so many tutorials on YouTube to learn basically anything you want from calligraphy, to dance, to playing an instrument -everything is available at your fingertips. I plan to continue to improve my dance skills, it also makes for a great workout!

6. GARDENING

With spring approaching, gardening is something I love to do. Cleaning up my yard space, planting new flowers or vegetables can adds to the outdoor esthetics. This season I plan to plant peonies in our garden. Even if you don't have a yard, setting up few plants inside your home is not only good for your health but also the planet.

7. MEDITATE

Meditating is best thing you can do for your mind, body and soul. With all the negativity surrounding us, use 15-20 minutes to sit in a dim room and reflect upon yourself, your goals and the energy you want to put out in the universe.
