With the winter approaching, my skin tends to be super dry, and the only way to keep it hydrated and glowing is by using the right products day and night. My routine is usually follows this: cleanser, mositurizer, primer, foundation/tinted moisturizer, concealer (on occasions), mascara, brows and a lip. So I'll share with you guys few suggestions for these basic beauty essential products that I use.

DAILY MOISTURIZER
Taking care of skin should be your top beauty priority before makeup, think of using the skin care as a long term benefits in keeping your skin looking healthy and maintaining a natural glow. Of, course diet and hydration has tremendous impact on the appearance of your skin, however, using the right skin care products can enhance the texture and appearance of your skin. I follow the cleanse with the moisturizer which is essential in hydrating your skin especially after a hot shower. I use the LANCOME AQUA VITAL infusion moisturizer, it has a very light weight texture and provides good hydration, its oil free and non-comedogenic. I typically use this during fall when the weather isn't too dry. This moisturizer could also be great for someone with a oily T zone or oily skin because its oil free and light in texture. For the winters when I notice my skin becomes ultra dry, or begins to peel I use the CAUDALIE face lighting cream, it has anti-aging and firming benefits, and its excellent for hydration. I use about size of 3-4peas because a little goes a long way. There other cheaper alternatives: here and here
DAILY PRIMER
I have come across many females who question the use of primers, but honestly, I find that if you use the right primer, they can be used for color correcting, providing hydration or providing a matte finish- all depending on one's skin type. Personally, I like to add a glow underneath my foundation and I accomplish that by using face oils, like the LAURA MERCIER nourishing oil it keeps my face hydrated and provides a glow from within. A cheaper alternative is organ oil by JOSIE MARAN . For the days when I need my make up to stay on all day like for shoots or going out, I like to use the SMASHBOX photofinish primer, its oil free, literally keeps my makeup on ALL DAY.
DAILY FOUNDATION/TINT
To get a even tone on for my face, often times I'll just use quick powder or tinted moisturizer with SPF. Usually I use the CHANEL pressed powder with SPF 15, just enough for the day or work, its super light weight and you can use the powder dry or wet the sponge for more of a fuller coverage. Sometimes I like to use liquid foundation to cover and a good medium coverage tinted moisturizer usually does the job like NARS tinted moisturizer it comes in two formula one luminous finish for dry skin and matte finish for oily/combination skin, both of which come with SPF, which is essential in UV protection. Also, another note to keep in mind is that SPF is not photo friendly, so for occasions where I' m not exposed to sun like parties or night out I use the MAKEUP FOREVER HD stick which is creamy formula and its great for medium -full coverage and cream and the HD formula photographs really well. I also own the liquid version of this foundation which is medium coverage and gives same results.
Usually for day to day work routine I like to keep it simple, for the eyes I use the TARTE tartist vegan mascara, provides volume and length with clumping. Occasionally I like to fill in by brows using BENEFIT Goof proof in shade 6. Lastly, for lips during the fall and winter seasons, I like to use few darker shades, which is out of my comfort zone considering I usually wear nude shades, but recently I discovered these blue based burgundy colors that compliments my skin tone well. Finding a lip color is very individualistic to a person's skin tone so the best way is to try to out in store before purchasing. Lately, I've been obsessed with liquid lipsticks that are matte long lasting lipstick and last all day. I use the COLORPOP ultra matte lip in deeper shades like tulle, love bug or avenue.
I hope my review wasn't too overwhelming, If you have questions regarding any of the makeup/skincare routine or products be sure to ask in comments section!! Let me know if you guys want me to do a skincare routine for night time.
